So, without further ado – here are seven things I learned by watching my children this week as they braved summer camps and new environments...

There will always be room for you, and there will always be love for you.

I already love you so much, and I cannot wait for that beautiful, unforgettable day when I get to meet you.

As we stare at them during the graduation ceremony, it’s as if we are watching their childhoods played out on a movie screen in fast motion.

 We desperately want to hit Pause, but in this moment – the movie keeps playing.

Whatever the pages of your own story include, let it be said that when you became a mother – you entered into a contract with yourself … one that looks different for each individual who signs the dotted line.  

Discovering who you are, and you will grow up to be, will always be, in my eyes, the best surprise party I’ll ever attend.
